Boston Medical Center invites applications for a Research Assistant II to support the BHEAT study and related grant-funded projects. The role involves coordinating patient recruitment, data entry, and data management, while ensuring adherence to study protocols across multiple sites in Boston.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of research experience or a Master’s degree with no required prior experience. RedCap experience and strong MS Office skills are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
• 2+ years of research experience required for candidates with a Bachelor’s degree; no experience required for Master’s degree holders.
• Experience with database design/management, particularly REDCap, is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and adherence to study protocols.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient recruitment, scheduling visits, and administering questionnaires.
• Enter/update data, manage databases, run reports, and store samples.
• Coordinate with sites to ensure timely data collection.
• Prepare Data Use Agreements and IRB applications.
• Coordinate meetings and maintain records for staff and sites.
• Lead literature reviews and summarize findings.
• Develop efficient study processes and deliverables such as reports and posters.
• Oversee grant budget tracking and admin duties.
• Train and supervise junior research assistants.
