Job summary

The University of Washington's SMART Center in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences is hiring a Research Coordinator II to coordinate a multi-site, school-based suicide prevention study across Washington State. You will recruit students, engage schools, and deliver SOS and YAM interventions with fidelity.

Collaborate with investigators, ensure regulatory compliance, manage data, and support study operations across sites, while developing skills in IRB processes and data

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Science or Health and two years of relevant research experience.
• Experience with children’s school mental health research and human subjects.
• Familiarity with IRB, GCP, HIPAA compliance.
• Strong organizational and communication skills; ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Experience with focus groups/interviews and data management.

Responsibilities

• Deliver or support delivery of intervention protocols in school settings.
• Monitor fidelity and participate in supervision.
• Recruit, screen, consent, and enroll participants per IRB protocols.
• Coordinate day-to-day study operations across multiple sites.
• Collect, enter, and manage research data; maintain study databases.
• Maintain regulatory documents and ensure ethical standards.
