Research Coordinator - Clinical (Project Management)

Colorado Retina has an exciting opportunity for a Full-Time Research Coordinator - On-Call not required!

Colorado Retina is a thirteen physician, sub-specialty eye care practice providing medical and surgical care of vitreoretinal eye disease. We offer comprehensive treatment for conditions such as age-related macular degeneration (AMD), diabetic retinopathy, retinal vascular disease, retinal detachments, ocular tumors, uveitis/inflammatory eye disease, inherited retinal degenerations, and other vitreoretinal conditions.

We are the largest retina practice in the Rocky Mountain region, collaborating as a team for complex cases. Our five service locations include East Denver (Central Park), Cherry Creek, Lakewood, Lafayette, Parker, and Summit County.

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

The research coordinator primarily manages research patient visits following ICH-GCP guidelines and IRB-approved protocols. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Facilitating and coordinating clinical trial activities
  • Administering sponsor-required questionnaires (e.g., VFQ)
  • Managing study supplies and source documents
  • Attending teleconferences and investigator meetings
  • Reviewing study protocols and ensuring compliance
  • Recruiting and screening eligible participants
  • Completing delegated study tasks accurately
  • Collecting and reporting medical history, adverse events, and serious adverse events
  • Obtaining informed consent and ensuring protocol adherence
  • Data entry, management, and query resolution in electronic systems
  • Coordinating monitor visits and maintaining regulatory documents
  • Ensuring proper storage and handling of clinical supplies and investigational products
  • Maintaining training and certification requirements

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:

  • College degree preferred or significant relevant experience
  • Ophthalmic experience preferred
  • 1-3 years research experience or as a research assistant
  • Effective communication skills
  • Certifications: ICH GCP Training, IATA Certification

PREFERRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

  • Patient interviewing and history documentation
  • Knowledge of eye anatomy, diseases, and medications
  • Proficiency in labs, ECG, tonometry, pupil exams, and data entry
  • Strong organizational and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent communication and time management

COMPENSATION:

Base salary ranges from $48,000 to $76,401.19, depending on experience and education. No evening, weekend, or holiday on-call. Benefits include:
