Job summary

McLaren Health Care in Michigan is seeking a Budget & Contracts Analyst to prepare, negotiate, and maintain budgets and contracts related to research and clinical trial activity. Responsibilities include reviewing protocols, negotiating budgets with sponsors, ensuring consent forms and contracts align with financial terms, and supporting execution of agreements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and at least one year of relevant medical, science, or business experience.

Responsibilities

• Review research and clinical trial protocols and develop internal budgets.
• Negotiate the budget with sponsors and provide cost justifications as needed.
• Review the informed consent form for compliance with the budget and contract.
• Review the clinical trial contract for routine changes.
• Consistently maintain general knowledge of protocols and manage amendments of budgets and contracts.
• Review legal language with the attorney and facilitate execution of Confidentiality Disclosure Agreements.
• Facilitate the legal review, execution, and billing processes of Cell Line License Agreements and Material Transfer Agreements.
• Manage Financial Conflict of Interest (FCOI) for investigators and staff.
• Maintain communication with Research Finance, Sponsored Programs Office, and Patient Billing Systems to ensure accurate costing data.
• Construct and review the coverage analysis, treatment tabs, calendars, and the financial parameters in Clinical Trial Management System (CTMS).
• All other duties as assigned
