Job summary

The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine seeks a Research Associate for SEEW within CAST to develop background research, perform analyses, and prepare outlines and project methodologies. You will edit and format program materials, manage related databases, and respond to inquiries.

The role supports public awareness and may assist with administrative duties. Strong writing, analytic, and collaboration skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent knowledge.
• Two years of related professional experience.
• Experience in research, data analysis, and technical writing.
• Ability to work in a hybrid office/telecommute environment with travel.

Responsibilities

• Research, Analysis, and Methodology: Prepare outlines and conduct analyses.
• Technical writing: draft summaries and edit reports and program materials.
• Data management: maintain bibliographic and analytical databases and references.
• Committee and meeting support: attend meetings, summarize discussions, coordinate materials.
• External relations: respond to inquiries and raise public awareness of activities.
• Staff support: mentor and supervise junior staff where needed.
