The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine seeks a Research Associate to support the Physical Sciences, Systems, and Infrastructure program. You will develop background research, perform analyses, and edit reports to inform policy and future directions.

You will prepare outlines, synthesize data, maintain databases, and assist with program materials, workshops, and external communications. Strong writing, research, and collaboration are essential in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent knowledge.
• Two years of related professional experience.
• Master’s degree in a related field preferred.

Responsabilités

• Research, analysis, and methodology: prepare outlines and determine appropriate methodology; analyze data and compile information.
• Technical writing: draft and edit papers, summaries, program materials; prepare bibliographies, graphics, and tables.
• Data, references, and records management: maintain bibliographic databases and ensure proper archiving and GBPAC/NAPAR compliance.
• Committee, meeting, and workshop support: assist in literature selection, plan meetings, and prepare summaries; coordinate communications.
• External relations: respond to inquiries and raise public awareness of program activities.
