Qualifications

• PhD/MD/MD-PhD terminal degree from an accredited institution in medicine or life sciences.
• At least five years relevant research experience in molecular biology and parasitology.
• Experience with molecular laboratory techniques, including aseptic culture and molecular genetics of the malaria parasite.

Responsibilities

• Teaching medical students and residents in internal medicine, including supervision in inpatient care.
• Research - develop and execute a functional genomics plan for malaria parasite studies.
• Assist in grant preparation and manuscript submissions; supervise graduate students or postdocs.
• Advise and contribute to academic activities; represent the university as needed.
