Job summary

Yoh Life Sciences in San Diego is seeking a Research Associate to support other Researchers and Scientists with daily lab duties. The role centers on tissue culture with iPSCs and neuronal models, along with molecular biology techniques and data analysis.

The position requires an Associates degree (or HS/GED) with 2+ years of related experience and experience with mammalian cell culture. Competitive benefits are offered and the schedule is Mon–Fri, 9–5.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in sciences (or related field) or HS/GED. Bachelors degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or a related field preferred.
• 2+ years of related experience
• Experience with mammalian cells and aseptic cell culture

Responsibilities

• Conduct tissue culture experiments using iPSCs and neuronal models, including cell line maintenance, media formulation, and differentiation protocols.
• Perform molecular biology techniques specific to iPSCs and neuronal models, such as iPSC reprogramming, neural differentiation, gene expression analysis, PCR, Western blotting, and DNA sequencing.
• Assist in the design and optimization of experiments related to iPSCs and neuronal models, including protocol development, troubleshooting, and data analysis.
• Assist with routine lab management duties including medium preparation, equipment maintenance, and inventory tracking
• Collaborate with senior scientists to ensure project milestones are met on schedule
