Job summary

Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, FL seeks a Research Associate 1 to contribute to the CAPE initiative focused on next-generation cancer immunotherapies. You will perform cloning, protein expression, yeast display, and assist with lab management and ordering duties.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in biology, biochemistry, bioengineering or related field required.
• Research training in molecular biology or biochemistry preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team; strong written and verbal communication is essential.

Responsibilities

• Cloning recombinant DNA constructs including plasmid design, DNA prep, transformation, and sequence verification.
• Maintain cell cultures.
• Conduct yeast surface display experiments including library handling, expression analysis, and selection assays.
