Job summary

Debut is seeking a Research Associate II to support the development and execution of in vitro assays for skincare ingredient discovery. The successful candidate will design and execute cell-based assays, maintain mammalian cell banks, and generate high-quality data in support of discovery programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years in cell biology or related field required
• Associate’s degree with 4+ years in cell biology or related field required
• Experience with mammalian cell culture and in vitro assays is essential
• Experience in industry setting is a plus
• Coding and automated record keeping experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Maintain and expand mammalian cell lines.
• Execute plate-based assays (absorbance, luminescence, fluorescence).
• Perform ELISA, flow cytometry, qPCR and colorimetric assays.
• Isolate, purify, and characterize nucleic acids for gene expression analyses.
• Enable high-throughput sample processing workflows.
• Ensure sterile handling of samples, reagents, and equipment.
• Contribute to new assay design, development, and validation.
• Conduct literature reviews and contribute to experimental planning.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret data with accurate records in ELNs/databases.
