Our client, a world leader in biotechnology and life sciences, islooking for a“Research Associate II - Discovery Chemistry” based outof SSF, CA.

Job Duration:Long Term Contract(Possibility of Extension)

Pay Rate: $36.60/hr on W2

Support small-molecule drug discovery through purification of smallmolecules, short peptides, macrocycles and other compounds, primarily usingpreparative HPLC.

Key Responsibilities:

• Performpurification of small molecules, peptides and macrocycles usingpreparative HPLC.
• Develop andoptimize HPLC purification methods.
• Operate andtroubleshoot HPLC, LC-MS and automated purification equipment.
• Analyze, interpretand summarize analytical data.
• Collaborate withmedicinal and discovery chemists to support research projects.
• Presentexperimental results and findings during team meetings.
• Stay updated onnew chromatography methods and purification technologies.

Required Qualifications:

• BS/MS inChemistry, Biochemistry or a related scientific discipline.
• Strong theoreticalunderstanding of organic and analytical chemistry.
• Hands-onchromatography experience, particularly RP-HPLC, NP, IEX and SPE.
• Familiarity withanalytical techniques such as Mass Spectrometry (MS) and NMR.
