Job summary

LSU Health Sciences Center New Orleans seeks a Research Associate 1 to support a study on the genetic and epigenetic effects of chemotherapy in oncology patients. You will work under the PI and postdoctoral fellow, performing day-to-day operations with accuracy and integrity in a fast-paced translational cancer research setting.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in biology, genetics, molecular biology, biochemistry, or related field, with strong organizational and communication skills

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Field of study: Basic or Health Science or related field.
• Commitment to patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
• Strong organizational and communication skills; ability to interact with patients and professionals.

Responsibilities

• Support an innovative study investigating genetic and epigenetic effects of chemotherapy in oncology patients.
• Assist in day-to-day operations under supervision of PI and postdoctoral fellow while maintaining high standards of accuracy and integrity.
• Work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced research environment.
