Job summary

Qualifications

• Theoretical knowledge of molecular and cellular biology or closely related field.
• Working knowledge of DNA techniques.
• Lab experience with sterile techniques and mammalian cell culture practices; ability to learn new techniques.
• Knowledge of various lab equipment and ability to operate and maintain it.
• Acute attention to detail and reliability in a fast-paced lab.
• Knowledge of bacteriology and bacterial cell concepts.
• Ability to analyze data mathematically and statistically.
• Experience with sterile cell culture techniques for mammalian cells.
• Experience following established experimental protocols.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work in a diverse team.

Responsibilities

• Perform standard repetitive laboratory procedures including biochemistry and molecular biology assays.
• Conduct cell biology, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence, plus immunoblotting as needed.
• Maintain lab supplies, order entries, and proper waste disposal per EH&S rules.
• Operate, calibrate, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment across multiple projects.
