Job summary

The Arthur Companies is seeking a Research Associate to join our wheat breeding and contract research operations. This role involves field trials, laboratory work, and greenhouse activities to support our agronomy programs.

The ideal candidate has a degree in Agronomy or related field and 1–3 years of agricultural research experience, with CDL and pesticide license or the ability to obtain them. Strong data skills and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Agronomy, Crop Science, Soil Science or related field.
• 1–3+ years of agricultural research or field trial experience.
• CDL with a med card or ability to obtain.
• Pesticide applicator license or ability to obtain.
• Ability to operate a forklift.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, package and plant field trials to evaluate crop/product performance.
• Assist in maintaining research locations through herbicide application and agronomic practices.
• Collect data on plant growth, disease reactions, yield, hand harvest and sample preparation.
• Work with temporary contract workers to assist in busy, time-sensitive duties.
• Grow plants in a greenhouse/growth facility for crossing and increases.
• Use statistical software and analytical tools to analyze results and support recommendations.
