Job summary

Bayer is seeking a Field Associate II in Williamsburg, IA to contribute to an R&D Field Trial program across crops such as corn, soybean, wheat, cotton, canola, and camelina. You will coordinate with growers on leased land and supervise local staffing during the season.

The role includes conducting in-season research, data analytics, and partnering with Field Associates to improve data quality, SOPs, and cross-site processes. Travel up to 15% and possible extended hours are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or completed BS/BA by Dec 2026.
• Strong technical aptitude with data management.
• Experience in collaborative team environment.
• Ability to learn and operate research agriculture equipment.
• Knowledge of region-specific crop production practices.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license; driving record reviewed.
• DOT medical card or ability to obtain one.
• Ability to obtain Pesticide Applicator’s License.
• Ability to obtain Drone Pilot’s License (FAA Part 107).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with growers on leased land space and supervise local staff.
• Conduct in-season research activities and data analytics review.
• Improve data quality and SOPs across sites.
• Ensure safety, quality, and compliance with standards.
• Travel up to 15% during peak seasons.
• Drive company vehicle and possibly long-distance travel.
• Collaborate with cross-site functions and teams.
• Support manager in development goals aligned to Crop Science.
