Qualifications

• BS in Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Molecular Biology, or related scientific discipline.
• 2+ years of lab experience in biochemistry, biotechnology, or related fields.
• Hands-on in enzyme activity assays and biochemical experiments.
• Familiarity with protein concentration measurement techniques and lab instrumentation.
• Experience with buffers, reagents, biological samples, and enzyme solutions.
• Knowledge of immobilized enzyme preparation and catalyst testing techniques is desirable.
• Strong attention to detail and data quality.
• Basic statistical analysis and data interpretation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and scientific data management tools.
• Effective written and verbal communication.
• Integrity, accountability, and safe lab practices.
• Self-motivated, team-oriented, adaptable, willing to support multiple projects.

Job Title: Research Associate

Type: Contract to hire
Compensation: $25-$32/hour
Schedule: Monday - Friday 8AM-4PM

Overview

Research and Development facility is seeking a Research Associate to join their team in Conshohocken on a contract to hire basis! In this role, you would support the development of advanced materials for manufacturers to produce products while using less energy, creating less waste and releasing fewer harmful emissions.

Responsibilities

• Support laboratory research and product development activities
• Execute experimental protocols for enzyme activity assays, protein characterization, immobilized enzyme preparation, catalyst testing, and routine laboratory operations.
• Maintain accurate documentation of experimental data, observations, and technical results.
• Prepare samples, reagents, buffers, and solutions needed for experiments.
• Support preparation and characterization of enzyme-based catalyst systems, including protein measurements and biochemical analyses.
• Conduct enzyme activity, stability, and recyclability testing.
• Organize and summarize experimental data for technical review and reporting.
• Assist with laboratory equipment maintenance, calibration, troubleshooting, and inventory management.
• Follow all safety procedures, handle chemicals and biological materials properly, and participate in safety initiatives.

Requirements

• BS in Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Molecular Biology, or related scientific discipline.
• 2+ years of industrial, academic, or applied laboratory experience in biochemistry, biotechnology, or related fields.
• Hands-on experience performing enzyme activity assays and biochemical experiments.
• Familiarity with protein concentration measurement techniques and laboratory instrumentation.
• Experience with preparing buffers, reagents, biological samples, and enzyme solutions.
• Knowledge of immobilized enzyme preparation and catalyst testing techniques is desirable.
• Strong attention to detail, commitment to data quality, and ability to follow detailed procedures.
• Basic statistical analysis and data interpretation skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and scientific data management tools.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
