Job Title: Lab Technician

Location: Conshohocken, PA

Type: 6 Month Contract to hire

Schedule: Monday - Friday 7AM-3:30PM

Pay Rate: $22/hour

Overview:

Specialty Chemical Company is seeking a Lab Tech to join their team in support of material development and testing. Our client is open to recent graduates looking to gain industry experience!

Responsibilities:
  • Perform catalytic testing and characterization of zeolites and other materials, such as temperature programmed techniques (adsorption, desorption and reduction), selective catalytic reduction, and other catalytic reactions for sustainability applications.
  • Monitor chemical processes and characterize materials.
  • Set up, operate, and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment.
  • Troubleshoot problems and malfunctioning instruments.
  • Prepare chemical solutions.
  • Conduct, compile, and interpret results of chemical and physical experiments.
  • Record data and observations in laboratory notebook and laboratory information system.
  • Contribute to the overall site safety through established safety procedures, programs, and policies.
  • Must be able to manage time effectively within a changing environment.
  • Determine acceptability of results and propose relevant conclusions on all work.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
Requirements:
  • Associate's Degree in Chemistry or related field.
  • Knowledge in general laboratory (chemical preferred) practice required.
  • Ability to follow written procedures and improve upon existing procedures required.
  • Ability to conduct experiments with high accuracy and attention to detail required.
  • Proficiency in Excel and Word.
  • Ability to operate all equipment safely following SOPs/JSAs.
  • Ability to conduct operations promoting safety, quality, and environmental compliance.
