System One is seeking a Junior Chemist for an on-site contract position in Naugatuck, CT. Qualifications

  • B.S. in Chemistry required or equivalent.
  • 0-2 years of related industry experience encouraged.
  • Knowledge of GC, HPLC, GPC, and other chromatography techniques.
  • Practical knowledge of classical chemistry techniques (titrations, melting point, viscosity, Karl Fischer, etc.).
  • Good analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • Support analytical investigations for new business opportunities in Urethanes, Lubricants/Additives, and Plastic Additives.
  • Conduct wet chemistry testing and analysis.
  • Operate and maintain GC and HPLC instrumentation.
  • Manage laboratory-generated hazardous waste in compliance with RCRA standards.
  • Follow laboratory safety procedures and emergency response protocols.
  • Participate in required compliance and safety training.
  • Maintain accurate laboratory records and documentation.

Job Title: Junior Chemist
Location: Naugatuck, CT
Type: Contract
Compensation: $24.00 - $35.00 per hour
Work Model: Onsite
Hours: 40 hours per week, 8 hours per day, Monday-Friday, 1st Shift

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine laboratory testing using Classical Chemistry, Chromatographic, and ICP Spectrophotometric equipment

  • Must be able to work on-site 5 days per week
