Job summary

Florida International University is seeking a program assistant to support the Space and Cyber program under the supervision of the Program Director. You will assist investigators by collecting, verifying, and compiling research information and help coordinate research initiatives across the Western Hemisphere.

The role involves clerical duties, data entry, planning events such as roundtables and conferences, and maintaining organized research files.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma with three (3) years of experience; OR two (2) years of post-secondary education with one (1) year of experience; OR an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience.

  • Coordinates research programming relating to Space and Cyber security challenges in the Western Hemisphere.
  • Searches library reference materials for necessary research information on Space and Cyber.
  • Works with the Director of National Security in organizing, monitoring, and coordinating research initiatives specifically with the Security Research Hub.
  • Assists in planning, coordinating, and executing events related to Space and Cyber research convening, including but not limited to roundtables, conferences, and external speakers.
  • Enters data into a database for the Security Research Hub.
  • Prepares and maintains files of research materials. Compiles and edits indices.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

Under supervision of the Program Director, performs a variety of national security non-laboratory research and clerical tasks to assist investigators in the collection, verification, and compilation of research information for the Space and Cyber program.

Minimum Qualifications
