Job summary

Carnegie Mellon University, a private global research university in Pittsburgh, seeks a staff member for data analysis, prototype testing, and bibliographic research within its Language Technologies Institute. The role supports research plans and requires recording and maintaining data and results with diligence.

Responsibilities include producing reports, data collection, and interaction with research subjects as needed. It is a full‑time, hourly staff position located in Pittsburgh, PA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Previous research experience preferred.
• Strong problem‑solving, communication, reasoning, and analytical skills.
• A combination of education and proven experience from which comparable knowledge is demonstrated may be considered.

The Language Technologies Institute (LTI) at Carnegie Mellon University is a world-renowned research and education hub at the forefront of natural language processing, machine learning, artificial intelligence, and human‑computer interaction. Established within the School of Computer Science, LTI pioneers innovative approaches to understanding, processing, and generating human language in both written and spoken forms.
