Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas seeks a Research Assistant II to support in vivo models, tissue processing, and cellular/molecular assays within the Levi Lab, Musculoskeletal Regeneration, Trauma, and Wound Healing program. Responsibilities include maintaining mouse colonies, performing histology, flow cytometry, RNA/protein analyses, and coordinating experiments with cores.

A Bachelor’s or Master’s in a relevant bioscience plus hands-on lab experience is required; strong organization

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a bioscience field.
• Experience with mouse handling and in vivo models.
• Proficiency in histology, RNA/protein assays, and data organization.
• Ability to train others and coordinate core facility work.

Responsibilities

• Plan, supervise, or perform in vivo mouse models and colony management.
• Conduct tissue processing, histology, imaging, and quantitative analysis.
• Perform cellular/molecular assays including flow cytometry, RT-qPCR, ELISA, and sequencing prep.
• Maintain thorough electronic lab notebooks, documentation, and data quality.
• Collaborate with institutional cores and senior staff to ensure reproducible results.
