Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas seeks a Research Assistant II in the Levi Lab to support ongoing in vivo projects and tissue analyses under general supervision. You will maintain breeding colonies, perform mouse models, process tissues, coordinate experiments with core facilities, and assist with data analysis, figures, and manuscripts.

Preferred candidates have a biology or related degree, hands-on lab experience, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in biology or related field, per institutional requirements.
• Experience with mouse handling, survival surgery, and tissue dissection preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to manage multiple experiments.
• Experience with image analysis or transcriptomic datasets is desirable but not required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain breeding colonies and genotype transgenic mouse lines.
• Perform mouse models and post-procedure assessments under training.
• Harvest, fix, decalcify, embed, section, and stain tissues for analysis.
• Conduct histology, immunostaining, and imaging; analyze data and contribute to manuscripts.
