Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas is seeking a Research Scientist to lead mechanistic and translational studies of osteosarcoma, integrating in vitro, in vivo, imaging, and multiomic data. The Levi laboratory focuses on tissue fibrosis repair, stem cell niches, and signaling guiding regenerative strategies, with strong emphasis on rigorous science and collaboration.

The role requires substantial independence, executes high-quality experiments, and contributes to grants and manuscripts.

Qualifications

• PhD with major course work in the field of assignment or Master’s/Bachelor’s with major course work in the field.
• 5 years of research experience in the field with relevant advanced levels as described.
• Senior-level experience or equivalent in research roles as specified.

Responsibilities

• Plans, organizes, coordinates, directs, and participates in assigned research work.
• Performs molecular bench work, animal handling, injections, surgeries, and sample collection.
• Histology, immunofluorescent staining, confocal imaging, flow cytometry, and sequencing analyses.
• Supervises laboratory personnel and guides technique development.
• Designs, develops, or adapts equipment and protocols for experiments.
• Plans and trains staff in lab techniques and safety procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
