Research Assistant II/III - Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (Finance)
The Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) at UTHealth, established in 1993, specializes in addressing functional limitations due to injury or disease. The department focuses on innovative research and clinical trials, including neuromodulation, spasticity management, and multicenter studies aimed at improving patient outcomes.
The selected candidate will collaborate on pioneering rehabilitation clinical trials involving toxins for spasticity, neuromodulation, and multicenter research. Responsibilities include participating in lab meetings, assisting with recruitment and consent processes, managing data entry, applying devices, evaluating outcomes, and disseminating findings.
Under the supervision of senior research staff, supports research projects by conducting activities within established procedures, exercising judgment as appropriate.
Ability to exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, 10 pounds frequently, and 10 pounds constantly; may involve work with hazardous chemicals, biological, or radioactive agents.
