Research Assistant III - MSB-Ob/Gyn-Maternal Fetal (Finance)

We are seeking a dedicated Research Assistant III to join the MSB-Ob/Gyn-Maternal Fetal department at UTHealth Houston. The role involves conducting complex scientific experiments, supporting clinical research activities, and interpreting results to contribute to advancements in maternal-fetal health.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design and implement research experiments according to protocols, including patient recruitment, laboratory experiments, informatics, and animal studies.
2. Maintain accurate records and manage research supplies efficiently.
3. Ensure laboratory safety and cleanliness, and stay updated on research protocols.
4. Provide guidance and training to research staff and assistants.
5. Report research progress to Principal Investigator and ensure compliance with policies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant science field or equivalent experience.
• At least 2 years of experience in a research or clinical lab environment; 3 years of clinical research experience preferred.
• Research certification such as SOCRA is desirable.

Physical Requirements: Ability to exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and work with potentially hazardous agents.
