Job summary

The STRIPE Lab at the University of Minnesota, Department of Psychology, seeks a 25%-time Research Assistant to support qualitative and quantitative research on health equity. You will work with a team to refine protocols, collect data, manage projects and collaborate with student researchers, with in-person duties at Elliott Hall.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Psychology or related area or 4 years equivalent.
• Experience in psychological research including data collection and writing.
• Capacity to conduct in-depth interviews under supervision and with established methods.
• Experience working with underserved populations and attention to detail.
• Proficiency with common computer apps including word processing and spreadsheets.
• Experience with web-based applications and website management.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth qualitative interviews and engage in coding and analysis.
• Review scientific literature and present findings in meetings or writing.
• Support PI-led projects in study design, data collection, analysis and writing.
• Assist with data management and preparation, manuscript development, and grant reviews.
• Assist in lab management, eligibility and regulatory compliance communications.
• Lead occasional trainings and supervise/coordinate undergraduate and graduate researchers.
