Job summary

University of Utah is seeking one to two hourly research assistants (undergraduate or graduate student) to support a NIH-funded project in Population Health Sciences. This part-time, hourly role runs November 2026 through December 2027, with possible extension based on funding and performance.

Responsibilities include weekly team meetings, data tracking and coding, and qualitative data analysis training. Minimum 10 hours per week, with paid trainings and meetings; a 3-hour block on at least two

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of undergraduate coursework or current MS/MPH or similar graduate student.
• Strong work habits including punctuality and reliability.
• Ability to work independently and with an interdisciplinary team.
• Use of typical Microsoft Office software, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Must comply with all local and UU requirements for work (background check).

Responsibilities

• Participate in weekly team meetings with the research team.
• Support data tracking, data coding, and qualitative analysis for the BHF trial.
• Attend implementation support sessions for note-taking and data collection.
• Other tasks as assigned.
