Job summary

The STRIPE Lab at the University of Minnesota seeks a 25%-time Research Assistant to support psychological research, data collection, coding, and manuscript preparation. The role reports to the STRIPE PI and involves in-person work at Elliott Hall as part of Civil Service staff.

Responsibilities include conducting interviews, literature reviews, and data analysis, with opportunities for independent research and career growth in social/health psychology. Renewable, contingent on funds.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Psychology or a related field, or equivalent education/experience (4 years).
• Experience in conducting psychological research including data collection, analysis, and writing.
• Ability to conduct in-depth interviews and qualitative/quantitative analyses under supervision.
• Experience working with underserved populations.
• Strong organization and timeliness with attention to detail.
• Proficiency with word processing and spreadsheets; familiarity with web-based applications.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth qualitative interviews and perform coding and data analysis.
• Review literature and present findings in meetings or manuscripts.
• Assist with study design, data collection, and statistical analyses; contribute to research products.
• Support IRB and regulatory compliance correspondence and lab procedures.
• Lead occasional trainings and supervise lab meetings; monitor progress with the supervisor.
• Recruit participants and contribute to retention in future pilot trials.
