KPMG is working through its partnership with MBO Partners and is currently seeking a remote contractor in the United States.
Position Summary: We seek a part-time Research Assistant to support international economic modeling, analysis, and presentation development for our global economic outlook.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor global economic developments and cross-country linkages
- Develop econometric models for international trade and capital flows
- Analyze business cycle transmission and economic spillovers
- Support forecasting models for key international indicators
- Conduct analysis of international trade agreements and economic integration
- Research global supply chain dynamics and commodity market impacts
- Track major exchange rate movements and balance of payments trends
- Examine cross-border financial flows and economic policy coordination
- Create presentations on international economic developments
- Develop comparative charts and data visualizations
- Prepare briefings on global trends and market conditions
- Support client presentations on international economic outlook
- Act with integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility to uphold the firm’s respectful and courteous work environment
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled or achieved a Master's degree or higher in International Economics
- Experience with econometric modeling (R, Stata, Python)
- Proficiency in writing
- Research experience with international organizations or central banks preferred
- Knowledge of emerging markets and developed economy dynamics preferred
- Understanding of global trade and financial market integration preferred
