KPMG is working through its partnership with MBO Partners and is currently seeking a remote contractor in the United States.

Position Summary: We seek a part-time Research Assistant to support international economic modeling, analysis, and presentation development for our global economic outlook.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor global economic developments and cross-country linkages
• Develop econometric models for international trade and capital flows
• Analyze business cycle transmission and economic spillovers
• Support forecasting models for key international indicators
• Conduct analysis of international trade agreements and economic integration
• Research global supply chain dynamics and commodity market impacts
• Track major exchange rate movements and balance of payments trends
• Examine cross-border financial flows and economic policy coordination
• Create presentations on international economic developments
• Develop comparative charts and data visualizations
• Prepare briefings on global trends and market conditions
• Support client presentations on international economic outlook
• Act with integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility to uphold the firm’s respectful and courteous work environment
  
  

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled or achieved a Master's degree or higher in International Economics
• Experience with econometric modeling (R, Stata, Python)
• Proficiency in writing
• Research experience with international organizations or central banks preferred
• Knowledge of emerging markets and developed economy dynamics preferred
• Understanding of global trade and financial market integration preferred
