Job summary

Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago is seeking a Research Assistant to support the AWARE Study network, leading participant recruitment, screening, consent, enrollment, and virtual network interviews using Network Canvas.

The role includes coordinating HIV/STI testing per protocol and maintaining accurate study records in REDCap or similar data systems. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, skilled at engaging diverse populations in virtual settings, and capable of

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• Bachelor’s degree and experience and/or training in research preferred.
• Good verbal and written communications skills.
• Some knowledge of FDA, HSR, and GCP Guidelines.
• Some analytical skills with the ability to remain agile and adaptable to various technological systems.

Responsibilities

• Performs administrative tasks to support research team (scheduling, ordering, printing, filing, etc.).
• Assists with literature searches, QA/QC procedures, and tracks timelines.
• Assists with study start-up and maintains study and regulatory documents.
• Assists in scheduling study visits, delivering behavioral interventions, and reimbursement of participants, in coordination with the PI and study team.
• Prepares necessary supplies for study visits (consent forms, data collection materials, etc.)
• Assists in the collection of data from research participants and/or medical records, as authorized.
• Supports data entry and maintains/updates databases as needed.
