Responsibilities

• Performs research by collecting information and data of current and historical nature for use in the preparation of booklets, pamphlets, articles, reports and speeches.
• Obtains pertinent source material by means of library research, examination of records, books or other publications and personal interviews.
• Prepares written reports.
• Maintains clipping file and card index of factual and statistical information for departmental use.
• Handles telephone and correspondence requests for information requiring research.
• May also be in charge of a small departmental library.
• Performs administrative duties required to assure efficient library service.
• In the Department of Rent and Housing Maintenance conducts rental value studies of moderate complexity, and assists in research studies and surveys.
