Presbyterian College seeks a dynamic Research and Instruction Librarian to provide research assistance and library instruction across disciplines. The successful candidate will engage with students and faculty, create instructional materials, and maintain online research tools. The James H. Thomason Library invites applications for a dynamic, proactive, and collaborative Research and Instruction Librarian to join our team of dedicated staff. This is a full-time administrative exempt position of 37.5 hours per week with a regular schedule of Sunday-Thursday, 10:30 am-7:00 pm. The schedule will be adjusted during academic breaks, summer terms, and, on occasion, during the academic year.
Reporting to the Library Director, the Research and Instruction Librarian provides research assistance and library instruction to all undergraduate and graduate departments on campus, including the First-Year Exploration program, participates in student and faculty outreach efforts, assists with the library’s assessment program, and maintains online library research tools.
