Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) in Louisville, KY is seeking a Research Analyst II to help the PC(USA) make data-driven decisions using data science and quantitative methods. You will lead research projects, design client studies, manage end-to-end analyses, and translate findings for diverse audiences.

The role requires strong command of SPSS and Excel, advanced statistics, and excellent communication skills for public-facing reporting and internal briefings.

Qualifications

• PhD preferred; MA considered.
• Minimum 3 years (with PhD) or 5 years (with MA) in social science research; applied setting preferred.
• Graduate-level statistics knowledge and ability to apply methods.
• Ability to develop quality surveys and interpret data for diverse audiences.
• Strong writing, public speaking, and data visualization skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead research projects as principal investigator.
• Design studies for clients as assigned by the coordinator.
• Manage projects end-to-end; conduct analyses, write reports, and deliver presentations.
• Clean and analyze data using SPSS and Excel.
• Collaborate with communications to share findings with public and internal staff.
• Respond to inquiries with data and research findings.
• Maintain shared digital workspaces and records for teamwork.
• Participate in professional associations; stay current and publish reports.
• Assist team members to ensure fair workload distribution.
