G-20 Group in New York seeks an experienced Research Analyst to produce high-conviction investment research across US equities, focusing on Energy, the Magnificent 7, and semiconductors.

You will translate deep fundamental and thematic insights into actionable ideas, work with portfolio managers and traders to size positions, and present findings clearly.

This role offers autonomy in a fast-paced trading environment with access to top-level data and a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field from a top-tier university; CFA or equivalent qualification is a plus.
• Minimum 5+ years of equity research experience with coverage of Energy, large-cap Tech, or Semiconductors.
• Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills with a track record of differentiated ideas.
• Deep understanding of energy dynamics, mega-cap tech, and semiconductor cycles/supply chains.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Autonomy with collaboration with traders and portfolio managers.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth fundamental research and financial modeling on US Energy stocks and key tech/semiconductor names.
• Develop earnings models, valuation frameworks, and scenario analyses to support decisions.
• Monitor sector catalysts, including earnings, capex, supply/demand, regulatory and AI trends.
• Generate timely investment theses and actionable trade ideas with clear risk/reward messages.
• Build relationships with management, sell-side analysts, and industry contacts to gain edge.
• Track macro and geopolitical developments and assess portfolio impact.
• Collaborate with PMs and traders to size positions and refine entry/exit strategies.
• Present research clearly through notes and briefings for trading relevance.
