Job summary

Janus Henderson Investors is seeking an Equity Research Analyst for Energy & Materials in a hybrid US-based role. You will conduct independent research, construct financial models, and engage with industry players to inform investment recommendations.

You’ll present findings to Portfolio Managers and contribute to the team’s priorities. The firm emphasizes professional development, health benefits, and a collaborative culture.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field.
• 3-5 years of experience as an equity research or investment analyst, ideally buy-side; MBA with at least 2 years post-MBA experience.
• Expertise in energy and materials sectors with strong analytical capabilities and credible investment ideas.
• Strong financial modeling skills to forecast revenue, earnings and cash flows.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to present to diverse audiences.
• Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct independent research to formulate investment recommendations in energy & materials sectors.
• Build and maintain models to forecast revenue, earnings, and cash flows.
• Engage in meetings and visits to deepen industry knowledge and networks.
• Communicate findings to Portfolio Managers via notes, reports, and presentations.
• Support broader team priorities as needed.
