Job description

About the Job:

MikeWorldWide (MWW) is looking for an Analyst / Senior Analyst to join our Insights & Analytics department. This is an exciting opportunity for a curious, analytical, and tech-savvy individual interested in media trends, social analytics, audience insights and AI-powered research.

This individual will join a highly dynamic and integrated team based in NYC that supports the agency across offices and practice groups. This individual will work on a variety of quantitative and qualitative projects for clients and new business prospects, tapping into MWW’s robust tool stack and processes – and working closely with team members across the agency.

This role is open to remote candidates who can work EST hours.

What You’ll Do:

  • Analyze social, digital and traditional media data using qualitative and quantitative research methods to develop new insights with the goal of improving planning, creativity, growth and efficiency
  • Perform ongoing measurement tracking & reporting for clients, showcasing media impact, audience engagement, and campaign effectiveness
  • Assist in the new business process – inclusive of analyzing on the industry landscape, competitive set, core audiences, and identifying areas of opportunity
  • Ability to analyze, package and communicate findings to key stakeholders, both internally and to external clients
  • Stay informed on the marketing and communications analytics industry, including new technologies, methodologies, and key players
  • Be the curator of all things culture by providing up-to-date and ongoing intelligence related to opportunistic cultural conversations from media, consumers and other influencers

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years of experience in marketing/communications/media analytics, in a research and insights function
  • Ability to translate data into insights that help clients understand audience needs and behavioral drivers
  • Understanding of the digital landscape
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, specifically the ability to convey research findings in a concise and effective manner
  • Ability to work individually and in a team setting
  • Ability to remain organized, driven, and focused on multiple projects at a time
  • Ability to meet deadlines and adapt quickly to new projects
  • Strong presentation and data visualization skills
  • Enthusiastic, eager, and curious

Bonus:

  • Knowledge of strategic marketing, media, social, audience targeting tools and vendors, including both quantitative tracking and research methodologies
  • Familiarity with Research Tools & Databases such as: Meltwater, Quid, NewsWhip, Mintel, MRI/Simmons, StatSocial, CreatorIQ, Sprinklr, Tubular, SimilarWeb, Google Analytics
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or PowerBI
