EDSI is seeking an RESEA Employment Counselor to provide individualized support to dislocated workers identified through RESEA, Rapid Response, or unemployment benefits. The role focuses on employment planning and barrier mitigation to achieve placement outcomes.

Responsibilities include outreach to long-term unemployed candidates, coordinating with partners to referrals, screening for eligibility, documenting interactions, developing customized service plans, and timely reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.
• Case management experience preferred.
• Attention to detail and MS Office proficiency required.
• Experience in a team-oriented environment.
• Bilingual preferred.
• Reliable transportation to the worksite and other locations.

Responsabilités

• Implement recruiting processes to identify long-term unemployed dislocated workers and UC claimants.
• Conduct targeted outreach and present career services to candidates.
• Coordinate with partners and training providers to develop referrals.
• Screen for program eligibility and assist with registration.
• Counsel participants through a customized career pathway and barrier mitigation.
• Document all interactions and maintain case notes.
• Complete enrollment documentation and develop service plans.
• Follow up with partner agencies to ensure engagement in services.
• Engage participants through off-site appointments and community visits.
• Submit accurate program data and reports for real-time reporting.

Job Description:Title: RESEA Employment CounselorSalary: $55,000 + benefitsClassification: Non-ExemptScope of Position: The RESEA Employment Counselor will provide individualized support and direct assistance in all areas related to gaining and/or retaining employment and career advancement to dislocated workers who have been identified through RESEA, Rapid Response, and/or those who are receiving or have exhausted unemployment compensation benefits (long-term unemployed).Essential Functions:· Implement recruiting processes and initiatives to identify long-term unemployed dislocated workers, RESEA participants, Rapid Response referrals and UC claimants· Conduct targeted outreach and customized service presentations to fully apprise candidates of basic and individualized career services· Coordinate with community partners, training providers ,and staff to develop a seamless and consistent referral system· Screen for program eligibility, provide assistance securing dislocated worker documentation, and assist with completion of dislocated worker registration when needed· Counsel, motivate, and encourage assigned caseload of participants through a customized career pathway, training opportunities, and barrier mitigation to achieve successful placement outcomes· Build a professional one-on-one working relationship with participants to aid in eliminating challenges to obtaining and retaining employment· Document all participant interactions, activities, case notes, and files to ensure that regularly scheduled contacts are made as required· Accurately complete required documentation for enrollment and develop and maintain a customized service plan to align with participant employment and training goals· Follow up with partner agencies to ensure engagement in prescribed support services· Perform outreach to support participant engagement through off-site appointments to employers, satellite site locations, and community visits· Provide accurate and timely submission of required program data and reports to ensure real-time reporting needs are met· Other opportunities as availableEducation and Experience Requirements:· Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent experience· Case management experience preferred· Attention to detail and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required· Experience in a team-oriented environment· Bilingual preferred· Must have reliable transportation to and from the worksite and other required locationsEDSI is an equal opportunity employer.
