Job summary

Planned Parenthood of Illinois seeks a Reproductive Health Assistant (Medical Assistant) to provide direct clinical support for family planning, medication abortion, and procedural abortion services. You will work with clinicians to prepare patients, assist with visits and procedures, and ensure safe, timely, patient-centered care in a busy clinic.

Responsibilities include rooming patients, obtaining vitals, supporting ultrasound prep, specimen handling, EHR documentation, and maintaining

Qualifications

• Graduation from a CAAHEP/ABHES-accredited medical assisting program.
• At least one year of experience using an electronic health record (Epic preferred).
• Ambulatory care and reproductive health experience preferred.
• Strong documentation, infection prevention and teamwork skills.
• CMA/RMA certification not required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients, room visits, and assist with examinations and procedures.
• Support family planning, medication and procedural abortion visits, including ultrasound prep.
• Perform venipuncture, specimen collection and point-of-care testing as trained.
• Maintain patient flow, EHR documentation, infection control, and equipment readiness.
• Provide front desk coverage as needed.
