Planned Parenthood of Florida is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our Kissimmee health center team. You will be integral to a culture focused on respect, care, and accountability while performing clinical tasks and patient intake in a community-oriented setting.

The role requires a High School diploma or equivalent and at least 1 year of experience, with opportunities to learn ultrasound and AB lab.

Qualifikationen

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience or equivalent.
• Experience with public interactions helpful.
• Ability to learn ultrasound, AB lab, and other skill enhancements as needed.
• Strong commitment to reproductive rights and Planned Parenthood mission.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and decision-making skills.
• Comfort discussing sexuality, contraception, STDs, and pregnancy options.

Aufgaben

• Conduct patient intake with medical and social histories and STI screenings.
• Educate patients on birth control options and pregnancy-related services to support informed decisions.
• Prepare exam rooms and assist with basic clinical tasks and lab work per medical standards.
• Provide patient service aligned with Planned Parenthood values of respect, equity, and inclusion.
• Maintain accurate patient records and uphold confidentiality and compliance.
• Support health center operations through cross-functional collaboration and accountability.
