Job summary

Tops Markets is seeking a Shipping Clerk to support the order selection shift in our warehouse. You will work with management to ensure timely shipping and prevent shortages by coordinating loads and pallet moves.

The role requires basic math, computer skills and strong communication. Weekend availability is essential, with opportunities for growth in a fast-paced retail logistics team.

• Prepare shipping documents prior to truck departure from warehouse.
• Perform load close process to release the store order for shipment.
• Coordinate truck departure with Dispatch.
• Verify and retain shipment records containing routing details.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Researches problem locations in order to prevent product shortage
• Creates pallet moves to fill selection locations
• Releases created reselect assignments
• Communicates issues to supervision
• Verifies accuracy of load diagrams
• Prepare shipping documents prior to truck departure from warehouse
• Perform load close process to release the store order for shipment
• Coordinate truck departure with Dispatch
• Verify and retain shipment records containing routing details
• Responsible for order processing claims
• All other duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be 18 years of age
• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Flexibility and willingness to work weekend is a must
  

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Ability to read, write, and perform basic math functions
• Possess basic computer skills
• Possess strong communication skills, organization, adaptability and problem solving
• 1-year experience in a similar capacity
