This specialized position focuses solely on the analysis & negotiation of bodily injury claims that are ordinarily assigned after the initial coverage determination, property damage handling, and investigation are completed. Claim inventories primarily involve attorney-represented files with varying degrees of complexity.Position Responsibilities:Initiate thorough coverage and liability investigationsDraft coverage letters as appropriateEvaluate and resolve moderate to severe, including fatal, bodily injury claims with prompt review and respond to all demands, including time limit demandsObtain and thoroughly analyze complex medical records and dataResearch and apply applicable laws in multiple statesSubmit timely large loss reports and referrals to home office when appropriatePrepare for and deliver quality presentations of high exposure cases to upper claims managementTimely reserve losses and continue to monitor reserve adequacySkillfully and professionally negotiate settlements with claimants and attorneysAdjust insurance policies for UM/UIM claimsPosition Qualifications:• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.• A minimum of three years of casualty claim experience in the auto insurance industry.• Proficiency in basic computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite products and webbased applications.• Must obtain and maintain state required licensing, where applicable.• Initiative, sound judgement, and discretion.• Comprehensive understanding of insurance policies and knowledge of relevant state laws and regulations governing auto insurance claims.• Time management skills ensuring deadlines are met for claim resolution.• Strong analytical skills to evaluate claim information, assess damages, and make informed decisions regarding liability and settlement amounts.• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with various stakeholders.• Excellent customer service skills.• Strong negotiation skills for resolving disputes and reaching agreementThis position will be reporting to the Doral, FL, Lake Mary, FL, Birmingham, AL, Downers Grove, IL, Richardson, TX, or McAllen, TX office.The range for this position is $61,900 to $102,900 Annually.
