Job summary

YMCA is seeking a dynamic Youth Sports Representative to help create an organized, positive, and memorable experience for players, coaches, and families. On-site Game Day Lead responsibilities include officiating games, supporting volunteer coaches, and ensuring safety.

Part-time, evenings 4:00pm–7:00pm on weekdays and Saturdays 8:30am–2:00pm, seasonal with potential for growth. CPR/First Aid certification required within 30 days of hire; teamwork and sportsmanship are valued.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 16.
• Sports knowledge and understanding of YMCA rules and procedures.
• Strong customer service, problem solving and communication skills.
• Positive and professional attitude.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the YMCA’s friendly and professional presence during youth sports events.
• Support volunteer coaches with logistics, communication, and equipment.
• Assist with set-up and take-down of fields/courts and supplies.
• Answer questions and resolve concerns with care.

Grounded by our mission and strengthened by the global YMCA movement we will elevate our people, purpose, partnerships and promise.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSMaintain courteous, friendly, helpful attitude in a positive manner towards participants, coaches and parents, while officiating games and keeping safety as the number one priorityKeep an orderly playing environment where games start and end on time; be aware of surrounding weather conditions and delays or postpone games as determined by the YMCA guidelinesRecite sports oath with players and coaches before each game; evaluate coaches and program quality a minimum of twice during the season (mid-season and end of season); report any inappropriate or problematic behavior, other observations and/or complaints to supervisorFollow and enforce all YMCA procedures and policies, including YMCA sport model and sport specific rules, personnel guidelines, safety guidelines, facility access procedures and membership policies.
