OneMain Financial seeks a Repossession Specialist to locate customers and collateral using skip tracing techniques, adhering to FDCPA and CFPB regulations. This onsite role in West Valley City, UT manages repossession queues and coordinates with agents for fees and transport to auction.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma and at least 2 years in collections focusing on skip tracing to minimize loan loss, with strong regulatory compliance awareness.

Qualifications

• Perform and complete skip tracing activities on all assigned accounts to prevent charge off and company loan loss.
• Inbound/outbound calls to discuss delinquency resolution.
• Maintain and establish new repossession and transport vendor relationships.
• Manage all accounts assigned from repossession to transportation of the vehicle to auction.
• Completes required applicable paperwork including sending all required Federal and State regulation letters.

Position Overview

As a Repossession Specialist, you would be responsible for locating customers and collateral using various investigative (skip tracing) techniques. All duties and tasks must be completed by adhering to FDCPA and CFPB regulations. Manages a repossession queue to ensure collateral is recovered. Works with agents to approve fees, coordinate repossessions and provide the best possible information.

Location: Onsite in West Valley City, UT

Schedule: Monday through Friday from 9:00am-6:00pm with a rotating Saturday shift every 6 weeks.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform and complete skip tracing activities on all assigned accounts to prevent charge off and company loan loss.
• This includes inbound/outbound calls to discuss delinquency resolution.
• Maintain and establish new repossession and transport vendor relationships.
• Manage all accounts that have been assigned to them from the repossession assignment to the transportation of the vehicle to the auction.
