Job summary

MTM, Inc. is seeking a Reporting Specialist to gather requirements from internal stakeholders and translate them into detailed report specifications for the BI team.

You will ensure timely, accurate client reports while coordinating with multiple departments to resolve inquiries, all within data governance guidelines. This temporary position runs through the end of the year with a potential extension and is based in our Washington, DC office.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and 5+ years in data reporting or similar role.
  • Experience translating stakeholder needs into clear report specifications.
  • Experience presenting data to multiple levels of an organization.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand reporting needs and requirements.
  • Translate requirements into detailed report specifications.
  • Work with BI team to ensure accurate and timely report development.
  • Analyze reporting data for accuracy and provide ongoing stakeholder support.
  • Review and validate reports to meet quality standards.
  • Communicate project status updates to stakeholders and address issues.

Job description

What will your job look like?The Reporting Specialist will be responsible for working closely with internal stakeholders to gather requirements, develop report specifications, and relay the information to the business intelligence team for report creation. The Reporting Specialist should be able to deliver excellent customer service through the timely and accurate delivery of Client reports and coordinating with other departments to resolve Client inquiries, keeping in mind data governance and compliance guidelines.This will be a temporary position going until the end of the year with possible extensions!This position will be a hybrid position in our Washington DC OfficeThis position does not support OPT STEM or H-1 Visa SponsorshipVisa sponsorship is not available for this position.What you’ll do:Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their reporting needs and requirementsTranslate stakeholder requirements into clear and detailed report specificationsWork closely with the business intelligence team to ensure accurate and timely report developmentAnalyze all reporting data for accuracyProvide ongoing support and guidance to stakeholders throughout the report creation processReview and validate reports to ensure they meet stakeholder expectations and quality standardsCommunicate effectively with stakeholders to relay project status updates and address any issues or concernsIdentify opportunities for process improvement and optimization in report creation and deliveryWhat you’ll need:Experience, Education & Certifications:Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following: data analytics, statistics, computer science, information systems, public health, business administration, or a closely related field.5+ years experience in a data reporting or similar roleExperience with working with Clients on reporting needsExperience in giving presentations or reporting data across all levels of an organizationExperience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI), SQL, and statistical analysisSkills:Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insightsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levelsDetail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and qualityAbility to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneouslyWillingness to adapt to changing priorities and requirementsEven Better If You Have:Experience building and validating reports, preferredProficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools is a plusWhat’s in it for you:Health and Life Insurance PlansDental and Vision Plans401(k) with a company matchPaid Time Off and Holiday PayMaternity/Paternity LeaveCasual Dress EnvironmentTuition ReimbursementMTM Perks Discount ProgramLeadership Mentoring OpportunitiesSalary Min: $30/HRSalary Max: $30/HRThis information reflects the base salary pay range for this job based on current national market data.
