Job summary

Spot Freight, Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer II focused on AI Integration to design and implement features and integrations for our platform using .NET and C#.

You will refine existing solutions to be efficient, scalable, and aligned with modern standards, and explore AI Agents, Document Intelligence, and Image Processing. This on-site role is based in Indianapolis, with additional opportunities in Chicago or Tampa offices.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in CS or related field, or equivalent technical experience.
• 5+ years of professional .NET/C# experience/exposure.
• Expertise in building agentic AI workflows and autonomous AI systems.
• Familiarity with RAG pipelines, vector databases, and orchestration frameworks.
• Experience and interest in leveraging AI/LLM solutions for business goals.
• Familiarity with Git and collaborative source control concepts.

Responsibilities

• Integrate a variety of business workflows with AI services, using a fully programmatic approach.
• Leverage the .NET ecosystem to achieve a performant, stable experience for our users.
• Engineer efficient solutions and investigate questions around application performance and behavior.
• Utilize source control in a collaborative environment to contribute code and to participate in code reviews.
• Communicate effectively and often as barriers arise and as ideas surface.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and technical design discussions.
