Sunnyvale, California, United States Operations and Supply Chain
The Environment and Supply Chain Innovation team works to uphold Apple's values across our global supply chain, and communication and transparency are critical to that mission. We are seeking an experienced writer and program manager to support our labor and human rights work across a varied portfolio — anchored by leading the writing of our labor and human rights reporting, and extending to the range of communications efforts that move our work forward. This is a writer and program manager who is also a labor and human rights subject matter expert: someone who can apply international human rights frameworks, such as the United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights (UNGPs), partner with technical experts, and translate complex due diligence work into clear, compelling reporting — while juggling a wide variety of demands exercising sound judgment about where to focus.
A major function of this role is leading the writing of Apple's labor and human rights reporting, which tells the story of the people across our global supply chain. Working hand-in-hand with our subject matter experts, you will translate program updates and strategic thinking from across our teams into clear, rigorous, and compelling reporting. Staying closely plugged into developments across our programs, as well as the evolving external human rights landscape, will be essential to keeping our reporting current and well-informed. Comfort in working with data is key.Beyond reporting, you will take on a broad range of communications and program management work in support of the team's labor and human rights portfolio, such as responding to inquiries about our global supply chain and picking up new priorities as they emerge. You will collaborate across Apple, including with government affairs, legal, and operations, to move our work forward and ensure consistency across deliverables. Success will depend on your ability to prioritize effectively, manage many moving pieces at once, and adapt quickly within a fast-paced organization where priorities evolve and execution matters.
