Description
We're looking for a senior Organizational Program Manager to drive efficiency, build scalableprocesses, and partner with engineering leadership across a large engineering organization.You'll own complex programs end-to-end, bring data-driven insight to leadership decisions, anddevelop repeatable solutions that scale. You'll advise senior leaders on organizational strategy,influence cross-functional stakeholders, and drive the programs shaping the culture of theorganization you support.
Responsibilities
- Business Operations & Planning
- Own the rhythm of business for senior engineering leadership — designing, facilitating, and
- continuously improving staff meetings, leadership syncs, and working groups with a focus on
- outcomes and follow-through
- Track and drive action items from leadership forums; surface blockers, escalate risks, and
- close commitments with accountability
- Lead end-to-end planning of quarterly business reviews, planning cycles, and offsites —
- owning narrative structure and ensuring each session drives meaningful decisions
- Establish a structured intake process for leadership priorities, triaging requests and keeping
- the org focused on highest-impact work
- Identify inefficiencies and design scalable, repeatable solutions; document and socialize
- frameworks for broad org adoption
- Lead headcount planning, fiscal budget management, space planning, and growth planning
- end-to-end — serving as the primary coordination point between engineering leadership,
- finance, and admin
- Translate headcount, engagement, and operational data into actionable insights for senior
- leaders
- Navigate complex, ambiguous organizational challenges with sound independent judgment
- Cross-functional Leadership & Influence
- Build trusted partnerships across Engineering, Finance, People, Learning & Development,
- and Communications to align priorities and drive coordinated execution
- Influence without authority — align teams with competing priorities and drive consensus on
- complex, multi-party decisions
- Serve as a thought partner to senior leaders — anticipating needs, preparing them for key
- conversations, and providing candid, well-reasoned perspectives
- People, Culture & Communications
- Identify cultural gaps and org health signals through qualitative and quantitative sensing;
- translate findings into concrete programs spanning career development, engagement,
- manager effectiveness, and inclusion
- Own employee engagement programs end-to-end — setting measurable goals, tracking
- outcomes, and iterating based on data
- Own audience-tailored communication plans — town halls, leadership updates, team blogs,
- and internal documentation
- Partner with senior leaders on communications strategy; translate complex engineering and
- organizational topics into compelling content for audiences from ICs to executives
Minimum Qualifications
- 7–10 years as a Chief of Staff, Senior Program Manager, Senior Operations Manager, or
- equivalent — with demonstrated end-to-end program ownership and strong autonomy
- Experience working directly with and influencing senior leaders in a software engineering
- organization
- Proven ability to drive programs with measurable outcomes — encompassing design,
- implementation, and iteration, not just execution support
- Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and how engineering teams are
- structured and operate
- Demonstrated ability to analyze organizational data and translate it into clear leadership
- recommendations
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent, relevant work experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience embedded in platform and infrastructure engineering organizations
- Track record of influencing cross-functional stakeholders and driving alignment without
- History of designing scalable processes and frameworks — not just executing existing ones
- Experience mentoring or developing junior program managers or coordinators
- A true team player and trusted partner — someone who shows up for the broader org,
- collaborates generously, and always keeps the bigger picture in mind
- Exceptional interpersonal skills; ability to build trust and work effectively across functions,
- levels, and global locations
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple high-priority workstreams

- Excellent written and verbal communication; able to distill complex, ambiguous information
- into clear narratives for diverse audiences
- Experience planning large-scale events — offsites, town halls, leadership summits —
- including logistics and content
- Adaptable and composed through change; able to re-prioritize fluidly
- Comfortable handling sensitive and confidential information with integrity and discretion
- Proficiency with Keynote, Pages, Numbers, and Apple tools preferred
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $140,700 and $268,400, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
