As the Reporting Analyst, you will be responsible for ensuring financial information for liabilities and special projects are accurately planned, reported, and analyzed under the direction of the Payment Services Team Manager. You will act as a key team member by informing data-based decision making using our ERP platform (Workday) and other data sources to facilitate continually refining central operations in a high-volume, dynamic team environment that supports Washington State University’s Colleges and Extension Campuses. In the lead position, you will also be responsible for acting in the role of Workday Records Administrator during their absences. You will work cross-functionally with the records administration, procurement, accounting, and business systems teams and distributes agency-wide communication to WSU departmental colleagues. Additionally, you will provide exceptional customer support as it relates to the Payment Service functions to the team, university community, and external partners. You will reconcile liability accounts, create journal and correct entries, support assigned special projects, assist with tax reporting to the Department of Revenue, and document information in accordance with the policies and procedures of the university in a timely manner. The lead duties include transactional accounting and training team members on how to read reports, perform related work, provide tier 1 customer support, conduct technical account reconciliations, do business analysis, and auditing. In this role, you must be able to distill large quantities of data and qualitative information in a clear, concise manner to broad audiences. Fluent technical skills in Business Intelligence (BI) applications like Microsoft Excel/Power BI or a willingness to learn are highly desired.
Monthly Salary: $4,517 to $6,075 (Steps A - M) | Range R049 | Successful candidates are typically hired at the beginning of the salary range and receive scheduled salary increment increases in accordance with WAC 357-28. In accordance with RCW 49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate’s current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position.
This is a full time (100% FTE), permanent position. This position is overtime eligible.
