Job summary

Vistar in Colorado is seeking a Replenishment Buyer to maintain optimal inventory levels across OpCos and ensure high fill rates for customers. Successful Buyers are analytical, detail oriented, and able to manage purchasing execution, forecasting, and supplier collaboration.

This hybrid role allows one remote day per week after onboarding. Requirements include 1–2 years of replenishment purchasing or planning and a High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Purchasing execution: Place Purchase Orders to ensure timely procurement.
• Inventory management: Monitor stock levels to maintain optimal inventory.
• Forecasting: Leverage forecasting and inventory systems.
• Risk mitigation: Identify and address risks in purchasing processes.
• Cross-functional collaboration: Work with Sales and Supply teams to align demand and supply.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and SOX.

Our Replenishment Buyers play a key role in maintaining optimal inventory levels at our OpCo's (Operating Companies, distribution centers) and high fill rates to ensure best-in-class service levels to Vistar's customers. Successful Buyers are analytical and detail oriented.

Our Replenishment Buyers play a key role in maintaining optimal inventory levels at our OpCo's (Operating Companies, distribution centers) and high fill rates to ensure best-in-class service levels to Vistar's customers. Successful Buyers are analytical and detail oriented.

The Replenishment Buyer position will include performing the following duties:

• Purchasing Execution: Place Purchase Orders to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement to drive optimal customer fill rates
• Inventory Management: Analyze and monitor inventory levels to ensure optimal stock levels and are maintained for assigned area(s) of responsibility
• Forecasting: Leverage and build on knowledge of forecasting and inventory management systems
• Risk Mitigation: Identify and mitigate risks in the inventory and purchasing process
• Sales and Supplier Partnership: Work cross functionally with Sales team on customer demand and inventory strategies, while maintaining strong supplier relationships to drive purchasing and supply chain efficiencies
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless coordination of inventory and purchasing activities
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with Vistar (PFG) and SOX policies and procedures
• Performs other related duties as assigned

Our Buyers are able to work from home 1 day/week after onboarding period.

Required Qualifications

High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience

1 - 2 years replenishment purchasing experience or planning

Compensation

$60,000 - $70,000 base salary + 15% annual incentive potential
