ActionLink is actively seeking a skilled Electronics Repair Technician to support Sony’s professional imaging products at the Carson, CA service center. You will troubleshoot, repair, upgrade, test, and refurbish professional displays and projectors, with attention to data entry and work order documentation.

The role emphasizes hands-on repair experience, use of precision tools, and adherence to service metrics.

Competenze

• Minimum 2 years hands-on repair of electronic equipment.
• Associate degree in electronics preferred.
• Proficient with digital/analog circuitry.
• Experience using professional testing equipment.
• Ability to read electronic schematics.
• Experience with precision soldering.
• Strong PC skills (Excel, Word).

ActionLink is seeking a Repair Technician join our Sony Account Technical Service Division and dive into the latest technological advancements in digital imaging!

The Electronics Repair Technician supports Sony's or its affiliates Product Operations, Refurbishment and Configurations team by performing troubleshooting, repair, upgrading, testing, and refurbishment activities for Sony professional video products, including professional displays and projectors. The role also requires completion of related administrative tasks, which will include some data entry of evaluation findings and part numbers along with completion of work orders for assigned jobs.

Schedule & Location:

• 40 hours per week; 7:00am-4:00pm
• Sony IPSA Service Center at 2201 E Carson St, Carson, CA 90810

Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electronic & camera products correctly, including professional displays and projectors

The Talent we are Seeking:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in the hands-on repair and service of electronic equipment, preferably professional photo, video, displays and projectors
• Associate degree in electronics or with emphasis on electronic equipment a plus
• Proficient knowledge of digital and analog circuitry
• Knowledge and use of sophisticated test equipment in the repair process
• Ability to read and interpret electronic schematics
• Experience in precision soldering
• Demonstrated basic skills with precision hand tools and test equipment
• Knowledgeable of ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) procedures or willing to learn
• Good working knowledge of basic PC skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word and standard software applications
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Motivated and goal oriented

Physical Requirements:

• Able to use a computer, phone, and other standard office equipment
• Must be mobile and able to sit and/or stand for four (4) hours
• Able to lift 35 lbs. from floor to chest level
• Basic understanding and ability to use various hand-held and power tools
• Smartphone with internet access/data plan
